Man fishing in North Carolina, Instructions and Supply.

Man fishing in North CarolinaThis is a small painting designed for the painting classes, inspired by the old south. I imagined this man fishing in the shallow waters of a river in this beautiful land.

Note: The studio is coming along fine. Lots of work! We will be ready to start our classes on February 2016.

Instructions:

  1. Start by drawing the man and the background.
  2. In this painting I did the under-paint with acrylics because they dry faster. When under-painting I am also finishing the drawing defining the light and the shade. The light with white and the shade with a mixture of gold and black.
  3. Enjoy doing your final painting. In this case I use oils because I love their bright colors and blending.

Supply:

This painting can be done in 2 medias, Oil Paintings or Acrylics.

Acrylics:
There are many brands of acrylic paintings that I have tested but the one that I like the most is:
SOHO, Urban Artistic Acrylic: Excellent paintings, sold at more reasonable price by Jerry’s Arterama. 3060 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. (919) 876-6610

Oil Paintings:
You can buy them at Michael’s, ACMoore, but again the most affordable ones are at Jerry’s Arterama and their brand is LUKAS.
