The Lady of The Plantation Painting, Instructions and Supply.

In this painting I was inspired by the historical sites, portraying the people of North Carolina in their environment, representing a time and history of our beautiful state.

The Lady of The Plantation” The motif of the human figure in a dialogue with natures light and colors.” A lady dressed in white in her southern plantation garden.

  1. Start by drawing the lady, landscape and house.
  2. Give a soft coat of acrylic gold to the canvas. Gold is very good for under-painting, it creates a worm color that once you put the oils or acrylics in the top, they look brighter.
  3. Next paint landscape, starting with the sky, trees, house, the lady, and reflections in the garden water pond. You can do it with oil paintings or acrylics.
  4. Sign your work of art.

Acrylics: There are many brands of acrylic paintings that I have tested but the one that I like the most is: SOHO, Urban Artistic Acrylic: Excellent paintings, sold at more reasonable price by Jerry’s Arterama. 3060 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. (919) 876-6610.

Oil Paintings: You can buy them at Michael’s, ACMoore, but again the most affordable ones are at Jerry’s Arterama and their brand is LUKAS.
